We are writing, in keeping with the Terms & Conditions of your policy, to advise you of a decrease in the benefit amount of your cover and a change to the premium you pay.

As you had made claim, we did not send this letter until a final decision on the claim was made.

The decrease in benefit amount and revised premium reflects the rise in underwriting costs as a result of customers making successful claims through their Simple Income Insurance policies. We have done our utmost to keep these changes to a minimum. If you have an ongoing claim, or are about to make a claim and have any questions about your cover or your premium, please contact us.

Your current premium is £{!!$old_premium!!} and your new premium will be £{!!$monthly_premium!!} and will apply from April 2020. Your current benefit amount is £2500.00 and your new benefit amount will be £2000.00. The revised benefit amount will be with effect from the date indicated in the policy schedule attached and revised premium will be collected under your chosen Direct Debit in April 2020.

The policy continues to provide you with high levels of cover, protecting you should you suffer an accident or illness or become unemployed, depending on the type of cover that you have purchased.

We are required to give you 30 days’ notice of a change under the terms of your policy.

It is important that your premiums are not in arrears and that your policy is paid to date at the end of March 2020 to ensure that cover remains in force. If your policy is in arrears, and we agree to accept the outstanding premium payments, these will be collected in April 2020 at the March premium rate.

Please note that any further correspondence sent to you between now and the date of the change mentioned above will show your premium amount at the current rates and not at the new rates that will apply, even if the month of April 2020 is mentioned. For example, if we process a new Direct Debit Mandate for you this month, our automated letter will confirm that we will collect the existing premium amount in April 2020, when in fact we will be collecting the new premium amount.

Please be aware that if you make any changes to your monthly benefit or cover type between the date of this letter and April 2020 it will alter the new premium amount stated above. However, if you contact us on the number below, we will be able to provide you with the new premium amount, taking into account any alterations you wish to make. If
