Dear {!!$policyholder_name!!},

Policy Number: {!!$logInfo->policy_number_full!!},

We regret the need to write to you again at this difficult time. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing and prolonged adverse
economic conditions caused by disruption to the economy and the insurance market, we have received instructions from
your insurer that there is to be a further increase in the premiums they require for your cover.

These decisions are never taken lightly, and we have done our utmost to work with your insurer to keep the increase to a
minimum. Your insurer, like any other insurer, can underwrite risks, or not, at the premium and terms deemed
appropriate in the circumstances. Whilst we appreciate you may be disappointed, we hope you will understand that their
decision will reflect, amongst other things, market conditions generally.

Due to changing underwriting risk profiles, in recent weeks, the risk category for this type of product has moved from low / medium to medium / high, which can be attributed to the impact of the ongoing pandemic and future uncertainty. Unfortunately, it would not have been possible to continue providing you this vital cover without applying this change to your policy and we want to assure you that we have taken all steps necessary to keep the product and the protection it provides in place for our policyholders.

Whilst we understand and appreciate this may not be welcome news, we hope you agree that it is a preferable action compared to serving notice that the product is no longer sustainable and it would have to be withdrawn, leaving policyholders without coverage, especially in the current climate where no alternative options are available.

Unfortunately, despite prior amendments to premium and coverage, the insurer has been left with no alternative but to again increase premiums for all policyholders to ensure the policy can continue to operate and provide the accident, sickness and unemployment income protection that is needed.

We would like to remind you that the income protection policy will continue to provide you with an important financial safety net. The monthly benefit amount you have will help you maintain payments for household bills, provide for your loved ones, and remove the financial stress of being off work, should you suffer an accident or illness or become unemployed, depending on the type of cover that you have purchased.

Your current premium is £ {{$current_premium}} and your new premium will be £ {{$monthly_premium}}. The revised premium will be collected on your chosen direct debit date from {{$action_date}} onwards. We are required to give you 30 days’ notice of a change under the terms of your policy.

If you wish to continue with your cover there is nothing you need to do, but we do suggest that you keep this letter with your policy documents for future reference.

However, if you decide to cancel the policy, please contact us on 0330 330 9465 or email info@bestinsurance.co.uk to inform us of your intention to cancel your cover.

At this time, we are unable to assess any policy transfer options for you, as Accident, Sickness, & Unemployment cover has been withdrawn from the market since March 2020 and has not yet returned.

Important Information:

It is important that your premiums are not in arrears and that your policy is paid to date to ensure that cover remains in force. If your policy is in arrears, and we agree to accept the outstanding premium payments, these will be collected at the existing premium rate.

Please note that any further correspondence sent to you between now and the date of the change mentioned above will show your premium amount at the current rates and not at the new rates that will apply. For example, if we process a new Direct Debit Mandate for you this month, our automated letter will confirm that we will be collecting the existing premium amount, when in fact we will be collecting the new premium amount.

Finally, if you are experiencing any financial hardship or circumstances beyond your control which may impact your ability to pay your premiums in the short term, please contact our support team who will be happy to discuss your options and assist you where possible.

Yours sincerely,

Stephanie Masters

Head of Administration
